3M™ Novec™ 1230 is an extinguishing agent developed as an alternative to halons and hydrofluorocarbons (HFC). Novec 1230 has Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than 1 while HFCs typically have a GWP of more than 3000. Novec 1230 has the highest margin of safety across all clean fire extinguishing agents.
